How do I turn on Dark Mode for Kindle App?

Kindle provides a dark reading background through a book's Page Color controls.

1. Open a book in the Kindle app.
2. Tap the page to reveal the reading toolbar.
3. Select the Aa reading-settings icon.
4. Open Layout or Page Color, depending on your app version.
5. Choose the black page color.

This changes supported book pages to light text on a dark background. The Library, Store, and other app screens may continue to follow your phone or tablet's system appearance.
